Rock of Ages is a privately owned cabin available for your use through www.BrokenBowCabinLodging.com. It is ideally located for quick access to two magnificent state parks, National Forest, Broken Bow Lake and a premier trout fishery all within easy access of the Dallas Fort Worth Metropolitan Area.

The specific cabin location is .6 miles east of US 259 on the north dam loop of US 259A. US 259A is a loop that leads into Beavers Bend State Park and takes you across the spillway and dam of Broken Bow Lake. The cabin is on a one acre lot in a deed restricted cabin development. It is ideally located for quick access to trout fishing, boating, hiking, ATV trail riding, kayaking and canoeing but far enough off US 259 to enjoy the bird calls, rustling of wind through the trees and the drone of cicadas in the summer time. You can also do some fantastic star gazing in the back yard where there is a clear view of the sky and little light. Bring binoculars to watch birds and gaze at the moon craters by night.

Beavers Bend Resort Park in Southeastern Oklahoma includes Beavers Bend State Park along the Lower Mountain Fork River and Hochatown State Park, Lakeview Lodge and Cedar Creek along the shores of Broken Bow Lake, the most beautiful lake in all of Oklahoma and Texas. The U.S. Corps of Engineering does not permit private development on the lake, so it has many miles of serene lake shore, private coves and islands.

There are 47 small cabins within Beavers Bend State Park. They are simple cabins with minimal furnishings built from the 1930s to 1980s. The oldest cabins were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. The private cabins for rent outside the State Parks are generally larger, newer and more luxurious with many more amenities. Some of these cabins can only be accessed from primitive roads that are quite steep, rough and offer little space for maneuvering a SUV or pickup pulling a boat. Other cabins are very close to the main highway, US 259, which can be rather loud with trucks hauling logs from the commercial forest lands nearby.

There are several private cabin management companies that make it possible to enjoy a luxury cabin suited to your particular family and your budget. Rates always vary as to season, holidays and weekends.
